Raleigh NC is the driving force of the real estate market between Raleigh and Durham and the counties surrounding them. Currently there are 23% more homes for sale now compared to the same time last year. New home inventory rose to 21% over last years numbers. There has also been a 3% decrease in home sales in 2007 with 23,000 closings. The big news came in September when there was a 14% decrease in pending sales contracts compared to 2006. These numbers being the lowest in 4 years.
